Helpful notes
Frequently asked questions.
A practical starting point for choosing materials and building a comfortable wax seal routine.
Which wax seal set is best for a first project?
The Hearth Starter Set is designed for first use because it includes a stamp, handle, wax, spoon, and a concise setup guide.
How much wax should I use?
Begin with one standard bead and adjust after a practice impression. The right amount depends on stamp size and the surface you are sealing.
Can I use the stamps with different handles?
Our interchangeable brass heads are designed for the Summit & Seal beechwood handle and compatible standard threaded handles.
Are the workshops suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. First Impression and Sealed Letter begin with setup, wax handling, stamp placement, cooling, and cleanup before moving to projects.
How should I store wax and brass stamps?
Keep wax dry and away from direct heat. Wipe brass heads with a soft dry cloth and store them separately so engraved surfaces remain clean.
Can I make seals directly on envelopes?
Many makers pour directly onto envelopes, while others create seals on a silicone mat and attach them later. Test your paper and adhesive first.
What should I do if an impression looks uneven?
Check wax quantity, keep the stamp level, and allow the wax to settle briefly before pressing. Practice impressions make timing easier to judge.
Do you offer help choosing a motif?
Yes. Contact the studio with your paper color, project type, and preferred mood, and we can suggest suitable motifs from the catalog.
Where can I see all current products?
The catalog includes kits, stamps, wax, tools, and workshops with practical descriptions and current availability labels.
